The photo is extremely questionable. We can't be sure it is him... His signature Omega watch is present along with a baseball cap and some scruff. But his face is not clearly in line of the camera.
We will not post the picture out of respect for him and adding fuel to the fire but felt that as fans we needed to say something about it.
No matter what Michael does we have respect for who he is and what he continues to do for the sport of swimming. We will stand behind him 100% and hope that all Phelps Phans will.
We are all human. Mistakes are made numerous times a day and as much as we'd like to turn Phelps into an iconic figure worthy of worshiping we must remember at the end of the day he still lays his head on his pillow to go to sleep like the rest of us.
We stand behind him regardless of his actions/non actions. Much love for MP and let's hope this is just another experience that he can grow from.
